HEALTHY BANANA MUESLI SLICE

So recently my mum suggested that I start baking on Sunday afternoon's so that we have some yum treats to take to  school throughout the week. Since we always seem to have waaaay too many banana's lying around, I decided to make a banana muesli slice. Bananas tend to go brown really quickly so even if you can eat them any more, they're fine to use in baking.


So let's get started...  

Things you'll need
1 1/3 cup rolled oats                                                  1/2 cup (100g) caster sugar

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1/2 cup (80g) sultanas
  • 1 cup (225g) mashed bananas
  • 4 tablespoons (60ml) skim milk
  • 2 egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence













Start  off by preheating the oven to 180'C. Then begin by mixing all the dry ingredients together and the wet ingredients in a separate bowl. 



Combine and beat all together. Bake for about 35 minutes.
If you want while the slice is baking, melt some chocolate chips 'au-bain marie' (in a bowl over a pan with hot water). Once the slice is cool, drizzle the chocolate over it and cut into slices.
